Rory McIlroy, already a winner of the European Tour's Golfer of the Month award for January, has now taken the Shot of the Month award too.
The shot in question was his recovery from a greenside bunker on the final hole of the Dubai Desert Classic.
One ahead after three consecutive bogeys, the 19-year-old from Northern Ireland splashed out of the sand to three feet and achieved the par he needed for his maiden victory.
Martin Kaymer took second place for his approach to the same green, while third place went to Retief Goosen for an albatross during the final round of the Joburg Open. He sank a three-iron from 216 yards on the 13th hole.
