BLOMQVIST EDGES WIKSTROM IN FINNAIR

Finland's Minea Blomqvist shot a closing 65 to win the Finnair Masters in Helsinki by one shot from compatriot Ursula Wikstrom.

Italian Diana Luna had started the day in a three-way share of the lead with the Finnish pair, but fell away after carding a one-under-par 70.

Wikstrom finished with a five-under 66 but was pipped for the title as both players birdied the 18th, with Blomqvist totalling an 11-under-par aggregate of 202 for the tournament.

Blomqvist, 23, said: "Me and Ursula, we both played really well so it was a very good match and that made it even more special.

"When the match is great you enjoy it so much because you have to put all of your focus into it and just winning in front of your home crowd is something very special."

Luna took fifth place on six-under 207, a shot behind Spain's Beatriz Recari and Germany's Martina Eberl, while Welsh player Becky Brewerton was the highest-placed British finisher, sharing seventh place on three-under 210 after shooting 71.
