Eduardo Romero overcame five bogeys - including four in a row at one point - to hold on for a four-stroke victory at the US Senior Open.
Romero signed for a three-over-par 70 on Sunday but finished the tournament at six-under-par 274 to cruise to his second major title on the Champions Tour.
Fred Funk finished second on two under but also struggled on Sunday, recording a five-over-par round, while Mark McNulty was one stroke further back in third.
The triumph, Romero's first major since winning a play-off at the Tradition in 2006, continued a productive season for Romero.
He has two victories and five top-10 finishes in 14 events.
