Henrik Stenson hopes to push on from his performance at the Masters earlier this month and secure a top-10 finish at a Major this season.
The 31-year-old Swede followed up an impressive year in 2007 with a fine start to the current season and was only knocked off the top of the European Tour Order of Merit after Trevor Immelman's success in Augusta.
Stenson started his 2008 campaign with a tied for ninth finish at the season-opening HSBC Champions and then impressed in the Middle East in January with successive second-place finishes at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and Commercialbank Qatar Masters.
But perhaps his best performance this year was at the WGC-Accenture Match Play in February where he overcame the challenge of a strong field to finish third.
Stenson finished tied for 17th at the Masters last week with a triple bogey on the 12th in the third round denying him a potential place in the top-10.
"Obviously top 10 would have been nice," he said. "I took a triple on the Saturday on 12 when I was playing well.
"I guess if you wiped that one out I would have been top 10 so it was really just one bad shot at the wrong time that proved the difference.
"I definitely played well enough for top 10 but probably not well enough to win it.
"If I had just got it going slightly different at the beginning of the week it could have been a slightly different story but I learned a lot again and I think I can come back strong in the future."
Stenson returns to European Tour action this week at the BMW Asian Open looking to secure his first win of the season.
And the world number 13 is hoping a good performance at the Shanghai Pudong Golf Club can spur him to achieving his goal of an even better performance in the coming Majors.
"My game is moving in the right direction but it is either your week or its not," he added.
"I am focused on the Majors and want to try and get a better result than I have done in the past.
"I am still yet to have a top 10 finish in a Major championship so now it is time to move that on and I need to give myself the best chances to do well."
