Paula Creamer held a four-stroke lead after Saturday's third round of the Jamie Farr Classic.
Creamer managed a one-under-par 70 on Saturday and sits at 18-under 195.
The 21-year-old from California shot a course-record 11-under 60 on Thursday and followed up with a 6-under 65 on Friday.
She found it a bit tougher going in the third round at Highland Meadows Golf Club, carding three birdies and a pair of bogeys.
Creamer bogeyed number three and had her only birdie on the front nine at the eighth. She dropped another shot at the 11th hole and rebounded with birdies at 13th and 17th hole to take a four-stroke lead over Eun-Hee Ji.
Ji, 21, who claimed her first LPGA win at the Wegmans in June, fired a three-under 68 and is in second at 14-under 199.
Rachel Hetherington signed for a four-under 67 and is at 11-under 202 with Shanshan Feng (64) and Karrie Webb (62) both at 10-under.
In her fourth season on tour, Creamer is seeking her third win in 2008, which would tie Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam for second on the circuit this season.
World number one Lorena Ochoa, who has six victories this year, and Sorenstam are not participating this weekend.
Five-time tournament winner Se Ri Pak shot 72 and is tied for 29th at 4-under 209.
