Choi wins finale, earns LPGA Tour card

ALBANY, N.Y.(AP) South Korea's Song Yi Choi won the Futures Tour's season-ending ILOVENY Championship on Sunday to finish fifth on the money list and earn one of 10 2010 LPGA Tour cards available on the developmental tour.

Choi closed with a 1-under 70 for a one-stroke victory over Libby Smith (68), finishing at 15-under 205 on the Capital Hills at Albany course. Choi earned $15,400 for her first pro victory to jump from 11th to fifth with $42,939.

``It's a very good feeling,'' Choi said. ``I came into this week knowing I had to win and move up. I can't wait for next year.''

Mina Harigae topped the money list with $88,386. The 19-year-old star, a three-time winner in her rookie season, tied for third Sunday, two strokes behind Choi.

``To come in first, it's just the icing on the cake,'' Harigae said.

Jean Reynolds won two times this season and finished second with $76,647.

``It's awesome,'' Reynolds said. ``I've been looking forward to this.''

Misun Cho was third at $64,118, followed by Samantha Richdale ($59,292), Choi, Whitney Wade ($41,393), Angela Buzminski ($37,048), Christine Song ($35,130), Alison Walshe Westford ($34,225) and Dewi Claire Schreefel ($30,600).

Pernilla Lindberg finished 11th with $29,767.
